I am Solène June Esnay (she/they), currently a postdoctorate student in the GDAC team of I2M, at Aix-Marseille University, in the ANR Project IZES (Inside Zero Entropy Systems).
I am interested in anything related to tilings. In practice, this branches out into various research themes such as symbolic dynamics, substitutions, topological dynamical systems, combinatorics on words, computability theory, cellular automata, and geometric group theory. Overall, my interests lie somewhere between theoretical computer science and discrete mathematics which are topologically- or algebra-flavored.
I was previously a PhD student at IMT (Université Toulouse III) under the supervision of Mathieu Sablik and Nathalie Aubrun, and obtained my PhD in mathematics in October 2022.
